Welcome to Damita Golden Retreivers!!

Damita Goldens is located in a rural area just outside of Dryden, Ontario (halfway between Thunder Bay and Winnipeg).

We are a small home based kennel and participate in confirmation, obedience and rally.  Our dogs are all members of our family and as such live in our home and share our couch.

I am a member of the Canadian Kennel Club, Golden Retriever Club of Canada, Golden Retriever Club of Manitoba, Lakehead Kennel Club, and abide by the ethics of my clubs.  I also do rescue work with Canadian Golden Retriever Adoption Services when needed, by providing foster care and interviewing potential homes.

Our first golden, Kelsey (Jazloma’s America Yankee Klipper CD RN), came home to us in January 2001.  She spoiled us with her mellow attitude and eager to please personality so much that in the summer of 2003 we added to our pack.  We were fortunate enough to have Jill Todd of Jevas Golden Retrievers entrust us with one of her fine pups.  From day one, Pyper was almost the polar opposite with her uncanny problem solving abilities (aka – too smart for your own good) and in your face energy.  She was quickly named our “Princess” and truly where Damita Goldens began.

From there we have learned and grown.  We have earned our first Rally title and finished a championship on a puppy and embarked on the breeding journey.  Please enjoy our website an feel free to contact us with any questions and comments you may have.
